Here’s an article I wrote for my copywriting website gWhiteWordsmith.com
Here’s the original….
Tired Of Being Sick… And Tired?
The human body’s “default” state is that of vibrant health. In other words, we’re programmed to wake up every morning, feeling pain free, optimistic and full of energy.
Almost magically, wounds and broken bones heal themselves… without any conscious thought or effort on our part. And we literally swim in an ocean of deadly pathogens. But our Immune System protects us 99.9% of the time.
But in spite of our body’s amazing ability to “self heal”, there’s a huge gap between what IS and what SHOULD be:
- Heart attacks kill 700,000 Americans each year.
- Cancer kills 600,000.
- And diabetes almost 100,000.
We’re the richest and SICKEST nation on earth. So why the discrepancy?
It’s simple. Diet and lifestyle.
Diet…
Our fruits and vegetables are grown on worn out soils… and sprayed repeatedly with pesticides and herbicides. (According to the FDA, the nutritional value that 1 peach supplied in the 50s, now requires 36 peaches to provide the same food value.)
Lifestyle…
The human body evolved to move. For thousands of years, hunter-gatherers had to run down their meals… or they starved. Today, most Americans sit at a desk all day, and then come home to plop down in front of the TV and eat ice cream til bedtime. (And we wonder why we feel bad so much of the time.)
The solutions are also simple:
Adjust your diet to include more raw fruit and vegetables. (And take supplements to compensate for today’s lower nutritional values.)
At least 3 times a week, get up off the couch and walk a minimum of 15 minutes.
For the record…
I said the solutions are simple. I DIDN’T say they were easy. But being sick and tired… until you die a premature death, isn’t easy either!
Here’s BBFs Rewrite…
“Are you tired of feeling unwell and drained?
The human body is designed to thrive in a state of optimal health. We are meant to wake up each day feeling energized and pain-free, with the ability to self-heal without conscious effort. However, despite our body’s natural healing abilities, heart attacks, cancer, and diabetes continue to claim the lives of thousands of Americans each year.
The reason for this discrepancy is simple: diet and lifestyle.
With overuse of pesticides and herbicides on our fruits and vegetables, and a sedentary lifestyle that does not align with our evolutionary needs, it’s no surprise that we are facing a health crisis.
The solution is also simple: a diet rich in raw fruits and vegetables, regular exercise, and taking supplements to fill in nutritional gaps. While the solutions may be simple, they may not be easy, but neither is the alternative of a premature death caused by chronic illness.”
In my humble opinion, the rewrite isn’t NEARLY as good as mine… but it would be a great start in repurposing that article.
